Rehabilitation, Pain & Injury Management

Picture
Remedial massage is a soft tissue therapy technique used to restore the body's soft tissues; muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia, to their original length, tone and texture.  It supports the work of physiotherapist, chiropractors and other specialists speeding recover in rehabilitation, pain and injury management.  Remedial massage reduces or eliminates pain, restores strength and range of movement caused through illness, surgery or injury.

At InBalance Therapy Clinic we systematically assess and treat muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues.  During our consultations we take the time to listen and understand your health circumstances and needs.  We use our clinical expertise to develop a treatment plan especially suited to you.  Remedial massage and other therapies are used to create favourable conditions within the body that allow it to heal itself and return to normal health and balance.

Remedial Massage FAQ

Q: What can you expect from your first remedial massage?
A: Before we begin your treatment, we review of your current health & medical history, discuss your symptoms or concerns and develop a treatment plan best suited to your needs.  If relevant we discuss posture, activities or lifestyle choices that may have contributed to your condition and if possible some exercises, stretches or self-help techniques you can use to facilitate healing between treatments.

Q: How long will it take for you to feel results from my massage?
A: Depending on the nature of your condition or complaint and how well you respond to treatment it is possible to see improvement after one session.  Other conditions, especially if they've long standing complaints may take several sessions to improve or resolve.
